Iran and Thailand’s potential for developing cooperation on medical research

H.E. Nassereddin HEIDARI, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Thailand, met with Ms. Minami Namiza, Supervisor of International Division of Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplantation Center” at SAMITIVEJ Hospital in Bangkok, on August 25, 2025.

During this meeting, they exchanged views on the feasibility of establishing cooperation between Iranian medical research centers, specifically ROYAN Institute, and corresponding centers in Thailand, including the SAMITIVEJ Hospital through interactions such as mutual attendance at seminars and scientific-research events and joint research projects, among others.

As implied previously, Royan Institute is a renowned center committed to multidisciplinary, campus-wide, integration and collaboration of academic and medical personnel for understanding male/female infertility, embryo development, stem cell biology, and biotechnology, and provides comprehensive services for infertility treatment, regenerative medicine/cell therapy, the production of recombinant proteins, and the development of biological products.
