Press Conference by the Ambassador of Iran on the American-Zionist regime war against Iran

Nasseredin Heidari, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Bangkok, answered reporters’ questions about the US and Zionist regime’s war against Iran at a press conference.

Citing Article 51 of the UN Charter, the Iranian Ambassador declared that Iran now finds itself in a full-scale war. He considered the assassination of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, on February 28 to be a “crime against humanity” and a violation of the immunity of heads of state.

He added that more than 800 people have been killed in recent attacks. Referring to the attack on a school in Minab that resulted in the deaths of 165 female students, he described these actions as the “law of the jungle.” Mr. Heidari also criticized the Security Council’s “double standards” and called for an immediate end to the aggression.

About 200 Thai citizens are in Iran. Due to the closure of air routes, a land evacuation plan is underway via the borders of Turkey and Azerbaijan. About 160 Iranian tourists in Thailand are unable to return to their country due to the cancellation of flights, and the embassy is consulting on accommodation and managing their situation.
